PitchTunnels v1.2 adds the foundation for everything that comes next. Sign in with Apple connects you to the DiamondOps backend, enabling favorites sync across devices, anonymous tunnel feedback that makes recommendations smarter for everyone, and automatic pitcher catalog updates — no more waiting for an app update when new cards drop.

v1.2 April 2026 Update

Sign in with Apple

  • Optional account via Sign in with Apple — no email collected, no account profile created
  • Authenticates with the DiamondOps backend (api.diamondops.gg) using Apple's identity token
  • Unlocks tunnel feedback, favorites sync, and automatic pitcher catalog updates
  • PitchTunnels still works fully offline without signing in — nothing changes for users who prefer no account

Tunnel Feedback

  • When signed in, PitchTunnels anonymously reports tunnel effectiveness back to the backend
  • No personally identifiable information is sent — just a tunnel hash and a rating
  • This data makes tunnel recommendations smarter over time for all users
  • Feedback is sent automatically — no extra taps required

Favorites Sync

  • Opt-in cloud sync of your favorite pitchers across all your devices
  • Toggle in Settings — off by default, your choice to enable
  • Favorites you starred in v1.1 carry forward automatically

Pitcher Catalog Sync

  • New pitchers and roster updates are now delivered automatically from the backend
  • No more waiting for an App Store update when new cards drop in MLB The Show 26
  • Requires sign-in — the catalog sync pulls from the DiamondOps API

Privacy

  • Privacy policy updated to reflect all new data flows — SIWA auth, tunnel feedback, and favorites reporting
