RetroGhostLabs ("we," "us," or "our") operates iOS mobile applications including PitchTunnels, PitchGuessr, DiamondOps, and Album Quest (collectively, the "Apps"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Apps.

Per-App Data Summary

Different apps in our portfolio have different data practices. Here is a plain-language summary:

• PitchTunnels: No personal data collected. All pitcher data you create is stored locally on your device. Optional Sign in with Apple enables tunnel feedback and pitcher catalog sync via the DiamondOps backend (api.diamondops.gg) — no email is stored and no account profile is created. When signed in, anonymous tunnel ratings (no PII) are sent automatically. Favorite reporting is opt-in via a Settings toggle (default off). When not signed in, the app is fully offline with no internet connection required. Free tier users see ads via Google AdMob — see "Advertising & Ad Partners" below. Lite and Pro subscribers see no ads.
• PitchGuessr: No account required. Pitch tracking data is stored locally on your device only. Pro subscription is processed by Apple via StoreKit — we receive no payment or account details. Free tier users see ads via Google AdMob — see "Advertising & Ad Partners" below. Lite and Pro subscribers see no ads.
• Album Quest: Requires Apple Music permission to access your listening library. No account required. Listening data and badges are stored locally. Optional iCloud sync uses your own Apple account.
• DiamondOps: Requires Sign in with Apple. The DiamondOps Chrome Extension (optional, Chrome-only) syncs your Diamond Dynasty card collection via the DiamondOps backend (api.diamondops.gg). Free tier works without the extension. Pro features (lineup optimizer, Portfolio View, Buried Gems) require collection sync.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Create (Stored Locally)

Some Apps allow you to create data that is stored only on your device:

• PitchTunnels: Pitcher names, pitch arsenals, and handedness settings you enter. Stored on-device only via Apple's SwiftData framework. Never transmitted to us.
• PitchGuessr: Pitch tracking data and session history. Stored on-device only. iCloud sync is planned for v1.1 and is not active in v1.0 — all data remains on your device.
• Album Quest: Badge progress, listening history, and preferences. Stored on-device.

1.2 Purchase Information

When you purchase a paid app or subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was made — we do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or billing information.

1.3 Support Communications

If you contact us at support@retroghostlabs.com, we receive and store your email address and the contents of your message in order to respond to your inquiry.

1.4 Newsletter and Email Marketing

If you sign up for our newsletter on the RetroGhostLabs website, we collect your email address for the purpose of sending you product updates, launch announcements, and other news from RetroGhostLabs. Signing up is entirely voluntary.

Email signups are processed and stored by MailerLite, our email marketing provider. By subscribing, you agree that your email address will be stored by MailerLite on our behalf. MailerLite is GDPR-compliant. See MailerLite's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle data.

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing privacy@retroghostlabs.com with a removal request. We will process all unsubscribe requests immediately.

1.5 Third-Party Services (App-Specific)

• Google AdMob (PitchTunnels, PitchGuessr): Free-tier users in both apps see ads served by Google AdMob. See section 1.7 "Advertising & Ad Partners" below for full details on what AdMob collects.
• Sign in with Apple (PitchTunnels, DiamondOps): When you sign in, Apple provides an identity token to authenticate you with the DiamondOps backend (api.diamondops.gg). We exchange this token for a session JWT used for API authentication only. We do not create an account profile and we do not store your email address.
• Apple MusicKit (Album Quest only): Album Quest requests permission to access your Apple Music library. This is processed entirely by Apple — we do not store or transmit your music data to our servers.
• Apple App Store: All purchases and subscriptions are managed by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details on what Apple collects during transactions.

PitchTunnels does not use third-party analytics SDKs — see section 1.6 for details on anonymous data sent to our own backend.

1.6 Anonymous Usage Data (PitchTunnels)

When signed in via Sign in with Apple, PitchTunnels sends anonymous tunnel feedback data to the DiamondOps backend (api.diamondops.gg). This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII) and includes:

• Tunnel hash (SHA-256, not reversible to original data)
• Rating (thumbs up, thumbs down, or favorite)
• Timestamp
• Pitch type names, pitch locations, pitcher handedness, batter handedness, pitcher position
• Game year, tunnel category, and quality score

Tunnel feedback (thumbs up/down) is sent automatically when you are signed in and rate a tunnel.

Favorite reporting is opt-in only. It is disabled by default and can be enabled via a Settings toggle or a one-time contextual prompt within the app. Favorite data uses the same anonymous format as tunnel feedback with a "favorite" rating. You can disable favorite reporting at any time in Settings.

Pitcher catalog sync: When signed in, PitchTunnels fetches pitcher data from the DiamondOps backend. These are read-only GET requests — no user data is sent, only the authentication token in the request header.

When you are not signed in, PitchTunnels does not send any data to our servers.

1.7 Advertising & Ad Partners

PitchTunnels and PitchGuessr display ads to users on the free tier via Google AdMob. When ads are shown, Google AdMob may collect the following information from your device:

• Device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AdID on Android)
• IP address
• Device type and model
• Operating system and version
• App usage data (which screens are viewed)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and engagement)

Google uses this data to serve relevant ads and to measure ad performance. Google may also use cookies and similar technologies on your device for ad personalization.

1.8 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS 14.5 and later, Apple requires apps to request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites. When you first open PitchTunnels or PitchGuessr, you will see Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

• If you allow tracking: AdMob may use your device advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized ads based on your interests.
• If you deny tracking: Only non-personalized (contextual) ads are served. No IDFA is shared with Google.

You can change this setting at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

1.9 GDPR / EEA & UK Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you will be shown a consent dialog (powered by Google's User Messaging Platform) before any ad-related data is collected. You can choose to:

• Accept personalized ads
• Accept non-personalized ads only
• Reject ad tracking entirely

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by resetting your advertising preferences in the app or in your device settings. Our legal basis for processing ad-related data is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

1.10 Subscription Tiers and Ad Data

Your subscription tier determines whether ads are shown and whether ad-related data is collected:

• Free tier: Ads are shown. Ad-related data is collected as described above.
• Lite tier ($2.99/yr): No ads are shown. No ad-related data is collected.
• Pro tier ($9.99/yr): No ads are shown. No ad-related data is collected.

Subscribing to Lite or Pro immediately stops all ad-related data collection. AdMob is not initialized for paying subscribers.

1.11 Anonymous Analytics (PitchTunnels — Optional)

PitchTunnels users who enable "Share Favorite Tunnels" in Settings can send anonymized tunnel preference data to help improve tunnel recommendations. This data includes only tunnel IDs and pitcher context (handedness, pitch types) — no personal information is included. This feature is opt-in and disabled by default. You can turn it off at any time in Settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the limited information we collect only to:

• Provide and improve our Apps
• Display ads to free-tier users (via Google AdMob, with your consent where required)
• Process in-app purchases and subscriptions (via Apple)
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for profiling or marketing without your explicit consent.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

3.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for any purpose.

3.2 Email Service Provider

Newsletter subscriber email addresses are stored with MailerLite, which acts as a data processor on our behalf. MailerLite only processes your email address for the purpose of delivering emails you have consented to receive. MailerLite does not receive any other personal information from us, and we do not authorize them to use your data for any other purpose.

3.3 Advertising Partner

PitchTunnels and PitchGuessr use Google AdMob to display ads to free-tier users. AdMob receives device and ad interaction data as described in section 1.7. Google acts as a data controller for the information it collects through AdMob. No other advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs are used in our Apps.

PitchTunnels sends anonymous tunnel feedback data to our own backend (api.diamondops.gg) as described in section 1.6 — this is not shared with any third party.

3.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RetroGhostLabs, our users, or others.

3.5 Business Transfers

If RetroGhostLabs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

For Apps that store data locally (PitchTunnels, PitchGuessr), your data never leaves your device unless you choose to use iCloud sync or, in the case of PitchTunnels, sign in to enable tunnel feedback. Apple's iOS platform provides encryption for data stored on your device.

Anonymous tunnel feedback data sent by PitchTunnels is stored on DiamondOps servers (api.diamondops.gg) and is retained indefinitely for aggregate analysis. This data contains no PII and cannot be used to identify individual users.

Support emails are stored securely with our email provider. We do not store unnecessary personal information.

5. Your Rights and Choices

5.1 Local Data Deletion

For Apps that store data locally (PitchTunnels, PitchGuessr), you can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app from your device. This permanently removes all locally stored data. Note that anonymous tunnel feedback previously sent to DiamondOps servers is retained for aggregate analysis but contains no PII and is not linked to your identity.

5.2 Support Data Deletion

To request deletion of any support emails or communications we hold, contact us at privacy@retroghostlabs.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

5.3 MusicKit Permissions (Album Quest)

You can revoke Apple Music access at any time through iOS Settings > Privacy > Media & Apple Music.

5.4 Email Unsubscribe

You may opt out of receiving marketing emails from RetroGhostLabs at any time. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom — clicking it will immediately remove you from our mailing list. You can also email privacy@retroghostlabs.com to request removal. Opting out does not affect any App Store purchases, active subscriptions, or TestFlight access you may have.

5.5 Ad Preferences

You can control how ads work in PitchTunnels and PitchGuessr:

• Opt out of personalized ads: Deny tracking via the ATT prompt, or change it anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Remove ads entirely: Subscribe to Lite ($2.99/yr) or Pro ($9.99/yr) to stop all ads and ad-related data collection immediately.
• Reset your advertising identifier: Go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising to reset your IDFA.
• GDPR/EEA users: Withdraw consent at any time by resetting ad preferences in the app or your device settings.

5.6 Subscription Management

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. You can cancel at any time via iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. AdMob is not configured with child-directed treatment (we do not tag for COPPA) as our Apps are general-audience products.

PitchTunnels' anonymous tunnel feedback data contains no personally identifiable information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, contact us at privacy@retroghostlabs.com and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when we launch new apps or add new features. We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our Apps after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
